The Research Facility is the Tenth and the Ninteenth Stage of the Subspace Emissary Story. Part 1 can be unlocked after The Forest is beaten. Part 2 can be unlocked after The Swamp is beaten. Both stages cannot be played between Entrance to Subspace and Subspace (Part 1). Completing Part 1 unlocks The Lake Shore while completing Part 2 unlocks Outside of the Ancient Ruins

Story[]
Zero Suit Samus sneaks into the Research Facility and begins a quest.
When she enters a room, she checks if there are any enemies but finds out there is a generator zapping Pikachu. The Generator stops for a moment but continues to zap it. Zero Suit Samus destroys the Generator alerting R.O.B. Sentries into the room. Pikachu then joins Zero Suit Samus in the Quest.
Once entering another room, Pikachu and Zero Suit Samus find the monitor and screen with Samus's suit on it.

Story[]
Zero Suit Samus and Pikachu continue their quest to find her suit. They find the suit but they are trapped in the middle. 2 Fake Samuses attack Zero Suit Samus and Pikachu. They then fight the clones.
After defeating the clones, R.O.B. Sentry are alerted and enter the room with the suit. They are destroyed once Zero Suit Samus wears the suit and becomes Samus. Samus and Pikachu continue their quest out of the facility.
While walking, Ridley kidnaps Samus and shocks her. She also scrapes her on the wall wounding her. Pikachu uses the Thunder Move on Ridley shocking him and also freeing Samus. They both land and Pikachu and Samus battle Ridley once more.
After defeating him, Samus and Pikachu exit the Facility and find R.O.B. Sentries carrying Subspace Bombs to the Subspace Bomb Factory. Samus and Pikachu plan on stopping them by entering the Factory.
