Jumpman and the Creation of Mario (1981-1982)Edit
Donkey Kong (1981)Edit
In the first Mario game, he was introduced in the Donkey Kong Series instead of the Mario Series. He was called the Jumpman since the only things he could do was jump, climb, and walk. Donkey Kong kidnapped his girlfriend, Pauline and is time for Jumpman/Mario to rescue her. In this arcade game, Mario must avoid the traps Donkey Kong does (including Throwing Barrows and Setting a Fire). Each time, Mario rescues Pauline, Donkey Kong takes her to a higher and more dangerous place. There are 4 Levels. Each level is 25 meters or the first level is called 25m. Then the second level will be called 50m and then the pattern continues. On the final level (100m), Donkey Kong is defeated after Mario rescues Pauline and will fall all the way either back to 25m or below 25m. In the Super Smash Bros. Brawl stage, 75m, that stage represents the name, the background, and the appearance of how it looks like in Donkey Kong the 3rd level (75m). The 1994 Donkey Kong game is based on this one but with more enemies
Donkey Kong, Jr. (1982)Edit
This is the sequel to Donkey Kong but Jumpman as the main antagonist and has kidnapped Donkey Kong and his son, Donkey Kong, Jr. has played Jumpman's role. Every stage is similar to Donkey Kong, the previous game. Now, Jumpman is renamed Mario. Every stage is similar and everything is similar to Donkey Kong.
Mario and the Creation of Luigi (1983-1985)Edit
Mario Bros. (1983)Edit
In 1983, Nintendo decided after Mario didn't appear in Donkey Kong 3, Mario should have an own series called Mario Bros. featuring him and his brother, Luigi. They were about the same age and same height (Mario being older and Luigi being taller). Mario Bros. is a fighting game which also appears in Super Mario Bros. 3 (1988) on 2 Player Mode when a player does a level any player has completed or Battle Mode which they will play a similar version of Mario Bros. Mario Bros. is also a game where Mario must defeat all enemies like in Super Mario Galaxy (2007).

In the DS Version, his solo mission is to beat Peach in Snow Machine Fight. In the Wii Version, there are 5 Stages in the Dream Events: Mario Circuit Wii, Bowser Castle, Peach Castle, Mushroom Kingdom, and Sherbet Land.
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (2011 and 2012)Edit
Mario is the averaged character in the Wii Version and the Heroes character in the 3DS Version. He is a protagonist in the Wii Version and one of the 4 main characters. He is one of the 2 important main characters (other being Sonic). In the 3DS Version, he has a limited number of events he can play.
Super Mario Bros.: The Movie (1993)Edit
In the 1993 Movie, Mario was potrayed by Bob Hoskins (1942-Present). Mario appears as the main protagonist. He has a brother named Luigi. He later has a girlfriend named Danielle. After Danielle and Princess Daisy (Luigi's later girlfriend) are kidnapped by 2 strange men, Iggy and Spike, under the orders of President Koopa, the dictator of Mushroom Kingdom, the other world, Mario & Luigi must save the day. But how can they save the day if Toad has been evolved into a Goomba and President Koopa has Devo Guns.
Relationships in SeriesEdit
Luigi is Mario's younger taller twin brother. They are both plumbers and live in Brooklyn. They seem to be very friendly all the time and they stick together. They even become partners in sports. Even though Luigi is sometimes crazy, they seem to have a strong bond and loyalty together.
Princess Peach (or Princess Toadstool)Edit
Princess Peach is Mario's very close friend. Even though Peach is always kidnapped or trapped by the Evil King, Bowser Koopa, or another villain, Mario uses his time to save the Princess no mather what. They are very close friends but not considered as Boyfriends or Girlfriends even though Peach gave him a kiss.
King Bowser Koopa (or King Koopa)Edit
Bowser is Mario's archnemesis. His plan is to destroy Mario and to takeover Mushroom Kingdom and to kidnap Peach. However, he is defeated by Mario no matter what since Mario spends his time to fight him. Mario is only friendly to Bowser on certain circumstances but they are enemies after that.
Toad is Mario's good friend. Toad is a loyal supporter of Mario and cheers him the most when he defeats Bowser or a villain. He is very worried about Mario all the time since he is a loyal guard and supporter of Princess Peach especially when she is kidnapped. He brings him news whenever he can.
Yoshi is Mario's pet dinosaur. He knew Mario since when he was a baby. Even though they sometimes may bicker, they are very close friends and Yoshi comes to Mario's aid at all times. In Yoshi's Island, Mario and Yoshi are the main protagonists to save Luigi.
Wario is Mario's rival and the leader of a 2-man group, Wario Bros. Wario is much fatter and shorter than Mario. Wario sometimes aids Mario on some adventures such as Super Mario 64 DS and Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Since Kamek is one of Bowser's lead henchmen, Kamek is Mario's archenemy. Kamek is the main antagonist of the Yoshi's Island Series and he is a powerful wizard. They never seem to make up together even when Bowser is friends with Mario sometimes.
Donkey Kong is one of Mario's rivals. He was originally Mario's archenemy until he was replaced by Bowser in Super Mario Bros. He now aids Mario sometimes to defeat Bowser such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, and Mario Super Sluggers.
The Koopalings are Mario's enemies. The Koopalings are Bowser's children (in the past story) who help the Bowser Army to takeover Mario and the Mushroom Kingdom. The Koopalings are much younger (by at least 15 years) than Mario.
Professor E. GaddEdit
Mario and Professor E. Gadd are loyal supporters of each other. Gadd helped Luigi save Mario in the Luigi's Mansion series. Gadd knew Mario since Mario was a baby.
Waluigi and Mario are half rivals, half supporters. Since Waluigi is Wario's partner to defeat the Mario Bros., Waluigi is sometimes Bowser's allie but can be loyal and be on Mario's side.
Baby Mario Bros.Edit
- Baby Mario is actually Mario himself when he was a toddler. In the games that they appear together, they are very helpful and loyal friends. Baby Mario is very smart and acts on Mario. Mario is very trusted.
- Baby Luigi is actually Mario's past brother. Baby Luigi is actually Luigi himself when he was a toddler. Baby Luigi acts the same way as Luigi. Baby Luigi can sometimes be whiny a lot but Mario and Baby Luigi are good friends.
