'Mario or Mario Mario (in the film) is the main protagonist of the Mario series and one of the two main protagonists of the Mario and Sonic series. He resides in his house with his brother, Luigi, in the Mushroom Kingdom. He has fought against Bowser and his troops in order to save the Princess of his Kingdom. He lived in Brooklyn once in a while and he is Italian himself. He worked with his brother in plumbing offices. He knew Bowser when they were babies. He wears a red cap, red shirt, and blue overalls. His cap has the letter M on it. He is one of the twelve characters in the Super Smash Bros. series who appeared in all games. He is also set to appear in the fourth game, Super Smash Bros. Wii U/Nintendo 3DS. Originally, he was known as Jumpman and now, he is known more commonly as Super Mario.

History (1981-1985)

Jumpman and the Creation of Mario (1981-1982)

Donkey Kong (1981)

In the first Mario game, he was introduced in the Donkey Kong Series instead of the Mario Series. He was called the Jumpman since the only things he could do was jump, climb, and walk. Donkey Kong kidnapped his girlfriend, Pauline and is time for Jumpman/Mario to rescue her. In this arcade game, Mario must avoid the traps Donkey Kong does (including Throwing Barrows and Setting a Fire). Each time, Mario rescues Pauline, Donkey Kong takes her to a higher and more dangerous place. There are 4 Levels. Each level is 25 meters or the first level is called 25m. Then the second level will be called 50m and then the pattern continues. On the final level (100m), Donkey Kong is defeated after Mario rescues Pauline and will fall all the way either back to 25m or below 25m. In the Super Smash Bros. Brawl stage, 75m, that stage represents the name, the background, and the appearance of how it looks like in Donkey Kong the 3rd level (75m). The 1994 Donkey Kong game is based on this one but with more enemies

Donkey Kong, Jr. (1982)

This is the sequel to Donkey Kong but Jumpman as the main antagonist and has kidnapped Donkey Kong and his son, Donkey Kong, Jr. has played Jumpman's role. Every stage is similar to Donkey Kong, the previous game. Now, Jumpman is renamed Mario. Every stage is similar and everything is similar to Donkey Kong.

Mario and the Creation of Luigi (1983-1985)

Mario Bros. (1983)

In 1983, Nintendo decided after Mario didn't appear in Donkey Kong 3, Mario should have an own series called Mario Bros. featuring him and his brother, Luigi. They were about the same age and same height (Mario being older and Luigi being taller). Mario Bros. is a fighting game which also appears in Super Mario Bros. 3 (1988) on 2 Player Mode when a player does a level any player has completed or Battle Mode which they will play a similar version of Mario Bros. Mario Bros. is also a game where Mario must defeat all enemies like in Super Mario Galaxy (2007).

Golf (1984)

Golf is the first Mario Golf game in the Mario Golf series. This is also a very old version of the sport, Golf. The playable character in Japan is identified as Captain Rainbow while the other countries say the player is Mario without overalls.

Wrecking Crew (1985)

This game is where Mario and Luigi are carpenters who hit through blocks and items. Although, enemies are not easy to defeat and don't only take one shot, the brothers must face the challenge

Super Mario Bros. (1985-1990)

Super Mario Bros. (1985)

This game not only features Mario as a plumber but introduces three more characters called Princess Peach/Toadstool, Toad, and Bowser. This game features Mario and Luigi working together to defeat Bowser who has recently kidnapped Princess Toadstool. This game also features 4 new enemies, Goombas, Koopas, Lakitus, and Spinies. Mario and Luigi must go through 8 Worlds and they must fight Bowser each time until the final battle where they rescue Princess Peach.

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (1986)

This game is another version of Super Mario Bros. but it was deleted from the game calling it The Lost Level. Again, Mario and Luigi must rescue Princess Peach from the evil Bowser again. This game features a new item called the Poison Mushroom, the complete opposite of Mushrooms. This level is more difficult than Super Mario Bros., the reason these levels were deleted.

Super Mario Bros. 2 (1988)

This game features Princess Peach and Toad as a playable character along with the Brothers. Mario dreams of a stairway leading to a door to Subcon. Most of the levels contain bosses including the first level being Birdo. They then must face Wart, the real minion of the game. After Wart is stuffed with vegetables, he is injured and Subcon is free.

Super Mario Bros. 3 (1990)

This game features Mario and Luigi exploring more worlds and facing even more new enemies and contains more than 50 Levels in 8 Worlds. Mario faces the antagonist, Boom Boom where he and the Koopalings kidnap Peach. Mario and Luigi must then again adventure through 8 Worlds, defeat Boom Boom and the Koopalings and face Bowser. In 2 Player Mode, the player can do a level a player has already completed and play Mario Bros. to get cards. The player can also play 1 Player Mario Bros. in Battle Mode.

Other Mario Adventure Games (1990-2002)

Super Mario World (1990)

This game features Mario and Luigi's pet dinosaur, Yoshi. The player now faces even more enemies and the Koopalings return once again. This game is similar to Super Mario Bros. 3 except for the Map. Now that Bowser has once again kidnapped Peach and Mario must go through 7 different worlds and switches once more.

Super Mario 64 (1996)/Super Mario 64 DS (2004)

This game not only features different ways to unlock Worlds but this game is also the first Mario 3D Game. Mario must go through Paintings in order to get Stars in order to unlock more Paintings and in order to save Princess Peach from one of Princess Peach's artwork of Bowser inside the Castle somewhere.

The 2004 Remake for the DS is mostly based on the N64 version but with 3 more playable characters, Luigi, Wario, and Yoshi with also more adventures. At the beginning, the plumbers are locked up in a castle and Yoshi must save the day.

Super Mario Sunshine (2002)

This game is similar to Super Mario 64 but features a brand new item, Fludd the Water Machine. Mario is able to squirt out water anywhere and save Peach from Bowser and his son, Bowser, Jr. (Shadow Mario). It is heavily based on Super Mario 64 without Paintings.

Mario is a great friend to Daisy. After Mario rescues Daisy in super Mario world,Daisy and Mario were then friends.Unlike his brother Luigi, who loves Daisy's singing voice, and like everyone else, who are Mario's friends,Mario dislikes Daisy's singing and it hurts his ears so bad, that he couldn't stand it hearing Daisy's singing voice any longer nor louder.Like Eva,who is from Rio unlike her,and her fast friends in Sega,Sticks the badger and Vector the crocodile,Daisy has a very harsh, horrible and loud singing voice that her friends hated but Luigi loves her singing voice just like Rafeal loving Eva's singing voice and her friends hating it.Daisy seemed to be energetic, cheerful, confident and very playful.Daisy also loves to dance like her friends do and she dances like a tomboy princess that's dancing wildly and going absolutely crazy.Daisy loves to sing to Luigi and likes to sing aloud to all of her friends.Daisy is a awesome friend to Yungoos and often calls him her main Pokémon man.Like princess Peach in the "Mario and Sonic's adventures in London" tv series and the episode "Metal Sonic the silly looking robot Sonic",Daisy likes Metal Sonic's intelligence, kindness and helpfulness but she loves his very cute face.

Kamek

Since Kamek is one of Bowser's lead henchmen, Kamek is Mario's archenemy. Kamek is the main antagonist of the Yoshi's Island Series and he is a powerful wizard. They never seem to make up together even when Bowser is friends with Mario sometimes.
