Rainbow Road is a very common course in the Mario Kart series. It is always the last track in the Special Cup of every Mario Kart game. It is usually the longest course in the game as well. All of the versions look different.

It is introduced in Super Mario Kart. There is only one Rainbow Road in each game (even in Super Mario Kart) and they are all named Rainbow Road. It is also very colorful and takes place in space.

In Super Mario Kart, there is only one Rainbow Road in the game being different from all other tracks. It is the last track of the game as well as the last track of the Special Cup. It reappears in Mario Kart 7 as the last track of the retro courses as well as the last track of the Lightning Cup. It also reappears in Mario Kart: Super Circuit as the (all the courses from Super Mario Kart reappear in the game as Extra Cups) last track of the Extra Special Cup. It is the longest track of the game but the shortest track of all Rainbow Roads.

In Mario Hoops 3-on-3, Rainbow Road is where the third dribbling race takes place.


Super Mario Galaxy 2Edit

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, one of the power stars are hidden here. The mission is in Rolling Coaster Galaxy called: "Rainbow Road Ride". Mario must ride the ball with the power star all the way from the beginning to the end of the Road to break the ball to get the star.
