Tilted Tunnel is the second level of Acorn Plains of New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked after completing Acorn Plains Way. This is the first level to feature moving crystal platforms. Completing this unlocks a red Toad house and Crushing-Cogs Tower. The secret exit unlocks Blooper's Secret Lair. It is the first underground level in the game.
Level[]
Mario starts out on a platform on top of Piranha Plants and there some blocks. Then, Mario must go in a pipe that leads him in an underground area. There are more Piranha Plants and then there are 2 paths, 1 with a dead end with a bunch of coins and 1 with a path that leads to the rest of the level. Then, there are some moving crystal platforms that will shift. Then, there is 8 goombas and the star coin can be visible. Then, there are 2 paths, the upper path containing the checkpoint or the lower path containing coins and pits. However, Mario must be Super Mario or bigger to go to the lower path. Then, there are more blocks, pipes, and piranha plants. Continuing will lead Mario to a moving platform above some piranha plants and some blocks. Then, there are some moving crystals blocking a pipe. Continuing will be more piranha plants and another pipe. Entering the pipe will take Mario to a grassy plain place on a platform on top of piranha plants. Then, there is the flagpole.
Secret Exit[]
Before the red ring, Mario must make the crystal shift. Then, Mario must jump from the crystal onto a higher platform. Then, Mario must go on top of the blue crystal and jump to a higher platform and enter the pipe there that is past the regular pipe.
Star Coins[]
- Star Coin 1: Before the checkpoint between some crystals
- Star Coin 2: After the checkpoint, Mario must use the first or second Koopa Troopa shell to knock the right block after a Piranha Plant to lead to a hidden area via beanstalk. Enter the pipe then it will blast you to the star coin.
- Star Coin 3: At the place where the ice crystals block the pipe, ground pound the crystal so it will shift. Enter the pipe and it will take Mario to a room with the star coin.
