Mario and Yoshi at the location of the eight monty moles
Yoshi Hill is the fourth level of Acorn Plains of New Super Mario Bros. U and the third regular level of the world. It is unlocked by completing Crushing-Cogs Tower. This is the first level in the game to feature Yoshis. Completing the level unlocks Mushroom Heights and Rise of the Piranha Plants.
Level[]
Mario starts out next to some rolling hill platforms and then sees some ? blocks. Then, there is the first monty mole in the game on top of the rolling hill platform and then a piranha plant. There is another ? block with a Yoshi and after that is a star coin visible. Then, there is another rolling hill platform and a Monty Mole. Then, there are 3 accessible apples so far. Continuing will take Mario to a place with a Koopa Troopa and eight Monty Moles. Then, there is a checkpoint. Mario and Yoshi should now have eaten 5 apples and spit out a random item. After the checkpoint is another rolling hill platform, a piranha plant, and a monty mole. Continuing will take Mario to a floating platform with Monty Moles attacking. Then, there is another floating platform and then many apples and a venus fire trap. Then, there is the flagpole. Mario should have a maximum of 12 apples.
Star Coins[]
- Star Coin 1: After getting the first Yoshi, hover to the visible star coin
- Star Coin 2: Before the checkpoints, there are some brick blocks sticking out of the ground. Ground pound it and enter the pipe in it. Use the yoshi to bounce on the piranha plants to get the star coin.
- Star Coin 3: In between the two floating platforms, there should be a red pipe. Enter it and you'll arrive in the room with the star coin.
